Our surgeon just called us at home on a Friday night to tell us the good news, that my nodes are all clear of cancer and that the margins around my tumour are clear. It means that I’m ‘technically’ cancer free and won’t need any additional surgery grin emoticon
Again I still have to do chemo and radiation, but this is the best news that we could have gotten. He wanted us to know the good news so we weren’t sitting around all weekend waiting to hear it on Monday. I heart emoticon my doctor!!
So now on Monday he will examine the surgical sites and refer us to our oncologist. Then we’ll get started with the egg harvesting etc.
I admit I didn’t think I’d have to have surgery again but once he told us the good news I felt that much better about everything. So relieved!!
