Oh what a difference a day makes! I think we are all in agreement that I’m NOT good on steroids. They make me incredibly angry, paranoid and stubborn. Not good traits to have when you’re trying to get your husband to take care of you. eek!
My pain level has increased today. Yesterday I was about a 2, and now I’m a 3/4. I went to my first acupuncture session. It was interesting. They want me to take all these Chinese herbal remedies to flush my system but when I said ‘Chemo’ then they were like yeah, we need to wait until after. What was funny is that the guy held my hand and said ‘hot flashes, night sweats and palpitations’ and I was just so shocked. Yes, yes and yes! I have another appointment on Thursday and then I’ll take a view if it’s actually helping me.
So this is TMI, but I think it’s pretty funny. During my first four chemo sessions, I don’t know what it was, but I didn’t have any boogies, or snot or anything at all in my nose. Whatever was in those drugs had completely cleared my nose out. Not even nose hair! But now that I’ve switched to this other chemo I’ve got stuff in my nose and it keeps giving me a shock. I keep having to blow it etc. like I think a normal person would and it’s so very weird! So I guess there was a good benefit of being on that nasty chemo for a bit 🙂
